Pat Summitt, An American Legend Retires

Pat Summitt, who built the Tennessee women’s basketball program into the preeminent

women’s program in America, has retired due to her early onset of alzheimers.  Summitt

was a winner, her kids played hard for her, loved and respected her as a person first and

then as a coach.  When you hear all of her former players speak in such glowing terms

about their coach and mentor, you really get a feel for the impact she had on the women

that she coached.  Check out the article that appeared on Yahoo.com, it “Sums” it up
